We have been in our new home since the end of December and it has been awesome. We absolutely love it. In our neighborhood there are multiple builders and everyone that has built with the other builders have all had issues. Those that built with Century Communities have not had any issues that I have heard of. ... More

We loved working with Century Homes to build our dream home! We built with another builder before and it wasn’t that great of an experience. Century was awesome to work with and had some of the best contractors around. (Our framer was stellar!) Our house was built in a timely manner with attention to detail which shows that they care about their customers. We’re so happy we chose Century to make our Dream come true. ... More

It’s a nice house. On the outside, it’s a beautiful 3-car garage home. On the inside, thru technicians that came to the house, I was told our bathroom fixtures were the cheapest on the market and that the wood in the walls is every 24 inches instead of every 16 inches....so hanging up pictures, paintings, TVs, and shelves are challenges. The warranty folks are great and keep you informed. Neighborhood needs gated access. Also, none of the street lights are on on Church St, yet there they stand, and it’s dark at night. ... More

Great building team to work with lots of updates through the construction process. I rated 3 on value for the fact that the price jumps (premiums) were extremely steep and the reason given was not to stay competitive but to drive sales number up. Honest but not preferred for consumers. I also rated a three in responsiveness to issues simply because there are still lingering items (although simple fixes) that have dragged on for months after closing and have not been fixed. I do have trust in Mike and his contractors they will resolve the remaining items but there seems to be a significant lack of interest in responding to the need. ... More

Look, they are great to work with in getting in a home. We had no problem with any questions we had or concerns during the home building process. Even a month after moving in we had to have some warranty work done and they got right on it for exterior items, 2 weeks later when we needed internal stuff done (still do ) it was all scheduled and the day of we get a phone call saying it can’t be completed cause of Covid-19. Now we get it, Covid-19 has completely messed up the world, and they had their hands tied about doing internal work on the house. Fast forward a few months, restrictions related to Covid-19 are lifted (with precautions put in place) and all we get is request are 2 to 3 months out based on the order they were received. Fast forward 3 months... still no response to our requests and told to wait and don’t call in because we don’t have a time frame for you. At this point, I’m litterly paying for repairs that should be covered by my warranty out of pocket because we can’t wait, because they are technically not considered "emergency’s" With that being said, they were really good to work with in the beginning to get everything we wanted in the house. The houses look beautiful and the layouts are open and wonderful. The part we are struggling with is, we spent over half a million dollars for a house, you would expect some of quality in what you are getting. What we have found so far being less than a year here is, Exhaust fans they installed aren’t even made for the size of rooms they are being put in, the insulation they put in for the exterior walls is a joke ( not even kidding, Walls facing the east and west litterly have hot spots radiating heat off of them inside the house, like I was outside the house touching the wall.) Windows after its rained, have dried up water marks on the inside of the windows. Mudding, caulking, & seals are starting to show cracking like its drying out. Paint needs to be redone in more places then I like to count, and the water pressure regulator has already had to be replaced. Oh and floors on the 2nd level of the house... let’s just say if you have kids, they will never be able to sneak out due to the floors squeaking so loudly it will wake you up, this is on about on 50% of the 2nd floors surface area. In summary, would I have paid what I paid for my house knowing all the extra money id have to put into it (stuff that shouldn't have to be replaced so soon) after the fact... probably not, I would have liked to have seen it priced lower for what I got. Was the building process and everything prior to getting the keys painless... It really was, I've heard horror stories and our experience was amazing compared to everybody else’s. The house is beautiful outside, the builder is amazing, floor plans are open and spacious, but quality of some of the stuff you are getting is severely lacking. That being said, I would still highly consider using this builder in comparison to the other builders my friends have used who have had way worse issues then what we have experienced. ... More

Our experience with Century could have been a lot better. As we have lived in the home, we are noticing more and more areas of just poor workmanship and attention to detail. Some issues they are very quick to respond and other issues it takes them forever. Sometimes they are extremely professional and easy to work with, other times they throw tantrums and are impossible to work with. I do not trust Century and their superintendents. We have been lied to many times and cannot trust anything they say without it being in writing (and even then they go against their word). We love our house, but if we were to build again, we would not chose Century. ... More

Buying a home with Century has been a terrible experience. Our first mistake was using their preferred lender. He was terrible and failed to give us accurate information. As a first time home buyer you put a lot of trust into your lender to help you through the transaction. The preferred lender was a nightmare. The sales agent for century communities also gave us a bunch of misinformation. He told us were guaranteed a certain dollar amount in builder and lender incentives, which, again didn't happen. He also told us the wrong information for our HOA fee. We were surprised when the bill came last week for a higher amount than stated by the sales rep for century communities. The overall workmanship of the home is decent/poor. The construction crew performed a rush job and didn't pay attention to detail. Overall, it was a really poor experience. ... More
