Our walk through took over two hours, almost a month later, we still have items from our walk through still being taken care of. Hopefully, this will be all finished by June 19th, we moved in on May 20th. It has taken countless emails and follow up emails and calls to get my home up to new house standard. We moved in with in accurate details on who hooked up the facilities. Were there close to two weeks before the internet was able to be installed, the subdivision was not ready for people to move in. We are supposed to have our grass cut under the home owners association. We have not been given the contact information, almost in a month and no one has come to cut the grass. Having difficulty finding out whom to contact to get this done. Have had two field managers, never has been truly supervising the house construction or workers as needed. The initial paint job was the worst of any home I have ever lived in. There was a hole in my shower, grout issues, paint on tile and hard wood floors, paint on cabinets. We had a toilet that had to be fixed by a plumber, a nasty spot on the concrete that had to be fixed. Overall, it has been difficult. We are having to pick up nails left by construction crews on the streets, trash continually blows into our yards. We also had an issue during construction when our screened porch was done wrong and the patio was not poured. I am just now beginning to think that after tomorrow, when the security team should be finished and the remaining paint removed from my floors that my home will feel like my home. However, I am still concerned with the construction crews that are leaving too many nails, trash, and I would like the Home Owners Association to cut my grass as promised and paid for at my closing. ... The process during the build was fine. The quality of the materials and workmanship is horrendous. I am disappointed to own this quality.

After moving into our home, several issues were noted. One was the realization that the bathroom tub has permanent damage, namely, severe scratches and scuff marks that cannot be remedied by cleaning. Another issue was several scratches on the glass of the bathroom mirror. Those scratches, obviously, cannot be removed by cleaning. Centex has refused to remedy those issues. If not remedied by Centex, those problems, among others, will forever be reminders of the poor construction and lack of accountability by Centex/Pulte. If you are reading this, please move on... trust me you will thank me later. Centex/Pulte homes are very poorly made and require a lot of maintenance calls to fix things that are days to weeks old. They employ "anyone that can show up that day" - direct quote, to the home site. Purchases 6 weeks ago, after initial 18 things on the closing punch list (pretty standard) I have had sent 38 emails trying to fix the new 26 items. The trades that come bye talk down to the homeowner as if they do not know anything. Very poor communication, poor quality workmanship and poor material used. The default whit most of this is "that's why you have a X-year warranty"... So when everything breaks down they suggest you just take it up with the warranty people, instead of making sure things are right or well made as to avoid the warranty people. The neighbors on either side of me are experiencing the same sorts of issues so I know I am not an outlier. Look else ware for piece of mind and less aggravation.! ... More
