Great experience building my first home!

Most of the experience was good. Since moving in, getting some warranty issues dealt with is taking a little longer then I would like.

The painter and cleaning crew are sub par

House is great. Looks nice and everything functioning properly as advertised.

The house is perfectly built but it was delayed by a month.

These are nice homes for first time home owners. The communication is lacking when fixing issues. I still have yet to have my dining room window replaced. Also there are noticeable blemishes i.e. not straight corners— you can tell they are slightly warped when they get closer to the floor. And some blue tape items have yet to be fixed and I closed on my home 2/14/20. It is now 3/30/20. But otherwise, the price is good and the no closing costs and USDA option is amazing for first time home buyers. Overall I would recommend the Windrow community to others looking into buying a home. It’s very quiet and pleasant. No crazy drivers or neighbors so far. And there’s a nice public park across the street. I do however wish there was going to be a pool built in the subdivision. the contractor was great to work with . He was made sure all our concern was handle with care.

The house is great but they need to improve the initial quality

There were no major issues. Everything we asked for was resolved in a timely manner after a few attempts

Only complaint is where they placed the AC Unit in comparison to the bedroom window when they could have easily chosen another spot that is not so intrusive.

After moving in the new home we found issues that should have been addressed during construction. Paint and door trim work is not great quality. AC design for first floor has been faulty as a result of which two rooms on first floor stayed warm and had to log in issue to warranty department. Toilet seats are already chipping off color within 2 weeks as cheap quality was used. Door bell and main door lock had to be replaced. These are few but takes time and effort on in owner and builder to fix things again. Suggest that builder pays attention to quality of construction and even minor details need to be addressed prior to closing. ... More

Overall satisfactory

The seller at the office was unresponsive and had poor communication. The project manager was nice and helpful.

The builder wasn’t helpful we had some scratch on kitchen he promised us to fix but he didn’t we call he didn’t answer

While the homes are nice, ours has areas where you can tell the vendors rushed their jobs and even though things were somewhat fixed before move-in, there is a lot that wasn’t but you don’t notice until it’s too late. You expect your home to resemble the model home to some extent but the finishing work is not even close. While we are happy with our home, there are things we wish we would have addressed before we signed our final paperwork. ... More

Make sure to ask lots of questions during the process & verify the answers they give you are correct. Inspect every aspect of the building process.

Rough-in construction went great. Building manager is great but dealing with too many problems: Concrete driveway and garage floor problems, light fixtures come loose from ceiling, tile has to be fixed, smart home issues with front door and kitchen cabinets not installed correctly. The house went up quickly and is absolutely beautiful. I feel like I'm living in a magazine. However, I cannot seem to get any of the repairs completed. I've been waiting for responses to my requests for weeks. People who are supposed to show up for appointments do not. ... More

After I moved in I a had a few minor issues and it took weeks for someone to contact after I reached out numerous times.

Due to COVID, unsure about responsiveness. Emails are prompt, but nothing has happened yet in regards to following through with repairs. I think builders should conduct the work as though they or their loved ones were living in it. Careless mistakes were made. Minor issues but still a nuisance to wait for it to be made right. ... The sales person and project manager care about your experiences. However, It has been a challenge after closing with a couple of the vendors to get things repaired or corrected so be aware and stay on top of them.
