We were told a lot of things, that made us purchase. When it came time for all those things to happen, it was apology after apology. They fired our agent mid buying, never told us until we had a question to ask, and couldn’t get a hold of her. They used her as an excuse for the all ‘misinformation’. I still have never had a warranty walk through or explanation. I still have things they said ‘we will fix after closing’ that aren’t three months later. I love my home, but the buying, building, and post closing were all horrible experiences I feel because the lack of leadership and consistency here at Davenport and the salesmanship tactics to get you to buy. ... We have had a ticket in for 2 cracked tiles in our kitchen for almost 2 months. Still havent been contacted. Our whirlpool microwave gave us issues the first week. Someone came out to look at it and he seemed to think it was the way we were closing our microwave. It clearly is not the way we are closing it. You should not have to hold your hand on the microwave door in order for your food to heat up. We continue to have the same issue. I have taken videos to show what we deal with. Our whirlpool dishwasher does not dry our dishes. It never has since we moved it. Its almost easier to work around all the issues because its clearly a waste of our time to take time off of work to have someone come take a look at our issues just for them to tell us...its normal or standard or its a user error. If you expect 5 stars please make sure our issues are fixed & not brushed under the rug. By talking to our neighbors, seems like this is a tread. They recommended we speak out and speak to lucus directly. I believe that will be our next step. ... More

Started out good but now, four months in. Not impressed! Seeing / finding more flaws with the quality of workmanship. We had leak from the bathtub above the dining room which was fixed. However, we have seen no one to fix the water damage in the ceiling caused by the leak since it happened. We going on 2 months since that occurred. We starting to notice more flaws as well. Stair treads, gutters, lack of caulking, and other things here and there. Biggest concern for me is the amount of material I am discovering buried in the yard. Wire, silt fence, bricks, lumber, concrete, roofing and so on. Again, not impressed! But good luck this seems to be the norm! ... More

We were never supplied air filters for our house. Our property line has moved since putting in a new house next door. Still have an electric issue in our guest bathroom. Had an exposed wire in master bedroom that tripped and burnt out the fan. Our back door was dented they replaced it but never replaced the framing due to water damage and breaking the frame when replacing the door so now it doesn’t lock except for the doorknob. Never finished the sod in our yard plus with a new house next door one of the workers drove through it. Painters missed several spots after coming out but the only paint if there is blue tape. Still haven’t replaced our master shower because it has cuts in the fiberglass on all of the walls. Our master tub still has cuts in the drywall exposed above it. Our master bathroom door doesn’t shut all the way and rubs the paint off the frame. Don’t expect stainless steel appliances because they give you whatever their supplier has on hand. We were shown one thing and had something different delivered. Grading issues after water run off in the side and backyard. We’ve had two rounds of a ant infestation since being in the house in our master bedroom. They are entering from the master bathroom door framing that is not solid to the ground. Also our carpet is coming up in that same area. Our master bedroom ceiling fan still roars if left on high. The guy that came to replace the ceiling fan told us it was a low quality fan but our living room fan does not make the roaring noise. Our AC wasn’t hooked up correctly when moving in one of the electric people caught it when we had them out for our lights flickering in our house because of our washer and dryer would cause it. All the screens on the windows were installed incorrectly and were rattling in the windows. The tile in the kitchen are two different colors and refused to replace it because they blamed the LED lighting causing it. The lock on the door going out to the garage has never locked since moving in. We still had exposed holes in dry wall around the light fixtures. ... More

Don’t recommend them if you’re a first time homeowner like we are. You will be left lost and confused with no communication or information on who to contact. We bought our home and it was missing certain options that should have been included. Found out after moving in and trying to get settled that things were missing and it has caused more problems since our original customer service rep was less than helpful... when I questioned if items were missing during walkthrough, I was brushed off. I don’t know how they missed some of the stuff (electrical wiring) and no one caught it before we did. Still waiting to have it all resolved. ... More

We couldn’t do an in person walkthrough due to covid, those items still haven’t been fixed. We’ve submitted over 30 other issues and no one has reached us regarding anything. A leaky roof, window, and wall happened when we first moved in which caused my baby to be room less for weeks. From start to...well it’s almost four months since close and we aren’t done yet so I can’t say to finish, it has been poor communication and quality. The quality of the building materials and install is below standard for a private residence even for a track home. The quality is similar to that of an apartment complex. There are limitations to the combinations of the items you can upgrade. You must stay with what the design team has put together in their design package ideas for your home you are purchasing. The response to issues are good, however; the workmanship for the repairs is not any better than the original workmanship and the trades need to keep coming back to "attempt" the repairs the same things. During the loan process, the down payment amount changed the week before closing and the papers were not ready by the lender who was provided by Century Communities, until the day of the signing. At the time of our final walk through, the house was not completed and not completely cleaned inside or outside. The completion date was moved out 2 months from the original date give at the time of purchase. Many other things to mention, however; I think the general condition and idea of the purchase is relatively clear. ... More

The size and space of the home is everything that I wanted. Compared to pricing in other communities was a reasonable deal. With that said, it is true that you get what you pay for. Prior to my closing I saw a plethora of things that needed to be either repaired or replaced. The builder made me feel as though my concerns were not valid and pretty much brushed me off. if wasn't until after I made several complaints to corporate that something was done. There are still a lot of things that need to be addressed. I was made promises from the builder that certain issues would be taken care of back in October. It is now the end of January and I am still waiting. Customer service is nice but not effective. I have requested several times to speak with someone/receive a phone call to address my issues. I am still waiting for that courtesy call. I have sent photos, emails, text messages and all of my issues are still not being resolved. My "New" home feels like it is 10 years old. I was sooo excited about buying a home, but Century ruined all of my expectations. The attention to detail and basic craftmanship is not evident. The work is clearly sloppy and full of patchwork and carelessness. It is clear that the builder and the contractors do NOT take pride in their work and craft, and delivering a quality product is not their priority. The only priority is to build a house- not a "home" as quick as possible to turn a profit. I would definitely NOT recommend Century Communities, and I will NEVER purchase from them again. Buyer remorse is real. My opinion may have been different had they addressed my issues from the beginning and showed a little more respect. ... More
