What Homeowners Have to Say About Dan Ryan Builders

I absolutely love my townhouse and thought Dan Ryan did an awesome job. My only criticism is that the basic carpet installed seem kind of cheap, I had to have someone come in to fix a hole when i first moved in and it also has been shedding a lot.

Overall experience was great. Everything moved fluidly and we were able to move up our close date so that we could enjoy our new home sooner!

Everything was great. Except one little thing, our light in the bathroom did not work, and we report it they say they were going to change it, and they never did.

My construction manager was great, but I feel like the paint is incredibly cheap because it flakes and chips over the slightest touch.

We are happy with our new home!

Overall I am happy with the home. I love it and enjoy it. However, I do feel the quality could've been better. The paint is not consistent in certain areas, the structure of the house is not even all around, tile was missing in parts of the floor, writing was left on the walls and all of the requests submitted to be fixed prior to closing was not updated for various reasons. I understand no home is perfect but when spending your hard earned cash when building from ground up I just expected things to be as I requested but was not fulfilled. The response time to calls was no more than 48 hours while under contract phase. The design center was my favorite part of the process as I was able to get everything I wanted, even though I may have had to fix it myself I am happy with the home. If you not sure about the home buying process ask questions, as many as you can. Keep checking the progress of the home throughout the build, if there's something that concerns you let the builder know right away. Try to keep on top of them regarding anything you see wrong being done. They may be the builders but they sometimes forget stuff that you may see from the model home ... More

The process was a smooth one

I was surprised by the quality even though the price was competitive. Sales team shall notify if specific amenities are not available in the community. In our case, there was no trash pick up from the curb. We have to carry the trash to a dumpster.

During our home buying process our project manager was extremely responsive to e-mails, texts, phone calls, etc. He was more than happy to answer any questions that we had and responded to concerns during the home building experience and after. It is unfortunate that after we moved into the home, even after the blue tape walk through, there were numerous things that we noticed within the realm of below quality workmanship. For example, some of the corners were not measured correctly to form 90 degree angles with corners, there were two cracks in the shower after about 3 weeks of living in our home. I will say that the builder was very responsive with getting someone out to fix the problem with the shower walls. We unfortunately smelled smoke through our walls (and still do at times) and have heard sound from our neighbor. Our project manager gave us some advice, but it was ultimately up to us to talk to our neighbor. I am 100% satisfied with the communication but less than satisfied with the quality of workmanship and materials. ... More
