Del Webb Dove Mountain is a beautiful subdivision located in the gorgeous Dove Mountain area just west of Tucson. Our Pulte/Del Webb home design and construction experience was excellent. We have a beautiful, well-built home in a community full of retired professionals from across the US. We could not be happier! I would have rated Del Webb with all fives but they need to work on paying attention to details. Our new home is well designed, well built and very good quality. However, there were minor punchlist items that could have been avoided if the subcontractors paid attention to detail. Very satisfied with the neighborhood and the development. Quality was okay, but Del Webb responded well to any issues.

My purchase was not typical. I did not contract to have my home built, it was available because the original buyer could not complete the purchase.

Having to drive 2 hours to the design center was a problem, especially for an over 55 community.

Design center did very nice job adding about $30K in upgrades. No comfort height toilets a big miss, it’s a retirement community, costs almost nothing to add them. Space and storage in this house is bell designed.

Our home purchase from home selection to interior design to financial closing was handled very professionally. Staff throughout the process was the best experience.

structurally my home is sound; the majority of the trades that work for the builder are competent, except for the finishes (painting and fine carpentry) and the landscaping. many minor issues needed to be addressed both before and after closing, and the builder's reps were very responsive to our requests and concerns. ... Very responsive to issues, but unfortunately, there were many issues. I feel they used the cheapest materials they could find and this is includes appliances, fixtures, lights, etc....

The house appears well-made with attention to detail. The planning could be improved. In my home, two of the bathrooms are right next to each other. Gutters are an extra-cost option. There are no electrical outlets near the toilets. In particular, a development intended for older folks should attempt to accommodate their needs. For example, changing the AC filters requires climbing to the 10 ft. ceiling. Grab bars should be standard, doors should be wider to allow for potential wheelchairs. ... More

We've been in the home a month and 1/2, and have not discovered any major issues. A few minor issues were discovered and were dealt with right away. So far our experience has been very good.

We are pleased with the experience. Only real complaint is with warranty website. We left message when roof damaged. Waited 2 days as website stated and then called. Was very rudely told that it is 3 days no matter what website stated. Called on third day and no record of our original input. Had to start process over. Thank goodness for crews on site that noted severe damage and got it taken care of. Now our roof is again missing shingles and we have to start system again. ... More

Sales really did a good job BUT Sign says new homes starting in the low 200s,mm Always ask what is the lot premium, will pay more for a nice lot Always ask what is the average price increase by % of base buyer spend on upgrades, to get a really nice house you will need to spend 20-30% on upgrades for nice stuff.
