I love my neighborhood and my neighbors but it shouldn’t be my job and time to make sure things are done correctly. The sales people and construction managers are very nice and friendly but the quality of their trades people is poor. I am talking from the painter to the lawn people, poor quality. The required or recommended contractors (pool builder and window coverings don’t call you back to remedy problems. The only time I have received a timely response is when I contacted a company Vice President or regional president. They told us that one month after closing they would call and make an appointment for our one month warranty issues and it’s been six weeks and no word from anyone. The swale between the houses have standing water and my back and side yards look lousy. However the yards at the models and ready to move in spec houses look beautiful. You will pay a premium price for extras but receive sub-standard work in many areas. ... More

Our closing got delayed by DW so we had to close when the date came. Several things were undone and we we told they would be done asap. 2 months later they are still incomplete after many promises to get things done.

Every house I see in Sun City has a rain sensor with a bracket on their gutter. When I looked for mine it is sitting in my gutter. So I am thinking why would someone just put my rain sensor in my gutter instead of using a bracket like everyone else? It did not fall there someone had to do that instead of doing it right. I’m not even sure we got the features we selected. Our master closet has only one shelf whereas I understood there would be an upper and lower if we chose the upgraded version. I don’t recall being asked what color grout for the showers. I chose the lightest tiles and the grout is dark brown. It’s very ugly. The floors were damaged and the ‘correction’ was to scrub a strong smelling solvent into them. The shine is now nonexistent. We asked for top-of-the - line cabinets and they are pretty cheaply made. The trash can doesn’t even have a soft close. Several bumps under the carpet. Rough edges in interior doors. Paint needed on the front door. Property line on one side is unclear. Unsightly black pipe sticking out of wall. Unattractive downspouts that don’t match the front trim on both sides of the entry. Stairs creaky already. Uneven heat distribution: Master bedroom and bathroom very warm. When the heat comes on upstairs the air escaping the vents is loud. Only one window will open upstairs ( no cross breezes ). ... More

We have had nothing but problems since moving in. You can see daylight through the garage door and that is an "acceptable" margin of error. This attitude is totally unacceptable! The garage doors are just cheap pieces of metal! The child safety mechanism can easily be put out of alignment. We had 3 defective toilets. Totally not level. They have been replaced. The master bath twice and bath 3 had to have the drain collar replace because it was cracked when the replacement was installed. We were without a toilet in the master bedroom for a whole month. The tile in the master bedroom had to be removed replaced in order to level the floor. The back corner was so out of level. The Slider could not be locked. That took 2 trips to get addressed. A handle on the kitchen cabinet was off. That door had to be replaced and 12 if the cabinet doors had to be adjusted The shutters in the master bedroom were off and had to be replaced. There was only 1 window shutter that did not have to be adjusted. The overflow drain in the tub of bath 3 had to be adjusted. That meant that the wall in the master bath had to be opened for that to be corrected. There is a dead tree in the back yard that was put in between us and our neighbor behind us. our neighbor notified the office before we did and it is still there. We now have a problem with the seat in the master shower where the top is lifting off the tile . So far every week has been a new problem! It is OLD! ... More

Everything from a refrigerator that was installed incorrectly and rattled, to a furnace that was wired incorrectly and was cycling thru with the fan not turning on. Stone Creek used 116,000 gallons of water on our sod prior to ours closing. After our closing we had inadvertently and quite accidentally and mistakenly used 92,000 gallons of water on our new sod. Isn’t that an excessive amount of water and a waste????? Perhaps your notice/awareness Regarding watering new sod to new homebuyers could be made with more emphasis regarding the awareness of the first and second water bill!!!!! It’s been very upsetting to get our first water bill - $733.46!!!!!! It’s absolutely absurd and a shame that we got this kind of bill!!! Very upsetting as new home buyers to Stone Creek!!! We have never experienced this kind of water bill anywhere ever!!!! This should NOT have happened!!! We would trust you more had this not have happened!!! I think they build a good solid foundation, but the finishing details are far from decent. Painting, trim work, landscaping should be better for the price you pay. No changes are allowed to be made.
