I love my house, but DiVosta clearly doesn’t want to fix anything that is wrong, and the finishing contractors were somewhat sloppy. For instance, I had no hot water for two days when I moved in, and only an emergency call brought the plumber, who said the hot water heater was never set up. He shook his head in amazement, and it took a third day for the hot water to kick in. I’m still waiting for the crown molding to be installed in the guest bedrooms—molding that I paid for but never got. How did this place ever pass inspection? You have to wonder. ... More

Buying and build process was mostly seamless until there were issues. Our project manager rarely got back to us and when we were finally able to do a walk through, the things he promised to have done by closing, were never address. The warranty person we deal with promises to return email the next day and we don’t hear from him for days until we reach back out. Our house also has no insulation in the attic above over half of the house. We expected issues but the follow through has been terrible as best. I’m sure things will get done but I wouldn’t hold my breath. ... More

Overall we like our new home. One huge problem we have experienced is a horrible interior paint job, window frames around permanent windows look horrible, our outdoor A/C unit has a very loud vibration noise and glue/caulk is all over the floor tiles. We continue to work on the floor ourselves, as it is very unsightly. Currently still waiting for all of our warranty repairs to be completed. Very frustrating. ... More

I was hoping to get the same quality I saw on the model home. It is difficult to see every detail on a short period of time. Once I moved I realized that all openings are cut in diagonal. Even the main door has a triangle on the wall. Sliding doors are not aligned, pocket door in the bathroom detached in the middle of the night within 17 days after moved. The quality control on the construction is terrible. I have never seen a construction like this. Appliances had to be leveled. The appliances cannot be any cheaper. For what we pay to buy one of these houses we should get much more. ... More

Overall the experience has been very disappointing for the expense of the house we purchased. Builder only seemed interested in taking our money and building as fast as possible. Quality of finishes is lacking and have needed warranty work. There were no proactive updates during construction process as promised, unless we asked. More than helpful to purchase a home but come time to close there were many things not explained to me in the process so that when it was time to close I was left very disappointed that things were not the same as the model home I was shown. The quality of workmanship was less than par. The cabinetry I paid for an upgrade for all wood was thermafoil. The tile work was sloppy. The foundation is not level. The back yard is not graded properly and floods onto back patio. The pavers were chipped and broken. the gutters were smashed in on sides. The ac filter was filthy and so was the house. It was not professionally cleaned. The ATT conduit was missing and needed to be put in so that I could have phone and internet and tv. I had to wait three weeks with a temporary line that was installed around the perimer of my home which was cut twice by the lawn people. The lawn and construction people keep throwing trash on my lawn. The construction people were still using my water for hook up to another site for days after we closed. I still have ongoing issues after two months of closing. ... More

I was extremely disappointed with my experience. This is the second home I bought here and the first one the experience was great. This one has been the total opposite. I bought the model home, which I understand is a spec home and I understand that there could be some nicks and dents, basically cosmetic, things that need to be fixed and I accept that and have no problem with that. But the spa does not work, and hasn't since I purchased the home, which is attached to the pool. There is no panel to operate the pool and you have to climb over pool equipment to even turn the pool heater on. They basically put in a pool the cheapest way possible with no way to control any functions other than go out to pool equipment and start climbing over it and turning valves. I was told to get spa to work I have to blow into a hose attached to the pool equipment. There are holes at the bottom of all drain spouts since they did nothing to deviate the stream of water away from the house. When it rains heavy, there is a gap between roof line and cage for pool where torrential streams of water come in onto lanai so not able to put any furniture there as it would get damaged with every rain event. There is no working fan in master bathroom. The front door does not close properly, and it is hurricane proof but any big gust of wind will blow it right open since it opens in instead of out and the door handle is loose. Electrical outlets in floor are non-functional. Cabinet doors have gaps so that you can see inside the cabinets - not installed properly. cracked tile in bathroom upstairs. Garage floor has two big stress cracks. The house has speakers throughout the house but no one seems to be able to tell me what they connect to. House has an alarm panel, but again, nobody can give me any details. Was told it would work with Xfinity and Xfinity just laughed and said impossible. And I could just go on and on. While in my previous home if I called with a problem someone was at my door within minutes to address it, here I'm mostly ignored. Was told to call Schlage and tell them I need a new door handle, blow into a tube to start spa (great idea during a pandemic). Was told cabinet doors would be corrected - didn't happen. Was told to get some river rock and fill in the holes created by rain creating holes every place there was a rain spout. Seriously?? Basically was just given stupid answers to real problems to make me go away and not bother them. I am sorry I ever bought this house. It has not brought me any joy so far, just aggravation. Plus I received two letters prior to my closing stating that if I did not close in time I would be i default and lose my deposit, even though I signed the Agreement of Sale contingent on my being able to get a mortgage without first selling my other home. They wanted to close on this house before their fiscal year ended and a week after I closed they started building a house a couple of feet from mine where it was just landscaping, trees and shrubbery and grass. So now I am dealing with construction noise and dirt on top of everything else. I just cannot recommend them to anyone at the moment as it seems that once you sign those final papers you are just an annoyance to them to be dismissed the quickest way possible. ... More

The house was filthy and clearly was thrown together by unskilled laborers. This was particularly true with the tile work and grouting. Multiple chipped tiles were installed on the bathroom walls, floor tiles were laid unevenly, grouting is lumpy, inconsistent and varied in color. Managers admitted to us that no supervisor was on-site to oversee the grouting, and agreed that the poor quality grout job encompassed the entire house. When a crew was sent in to address the problems with the tile, they did not protect the tub so it is now scratched and gouged. After efforts to improve the grout, there was little to no improvement in the quality workmanship. The garage door has a large gap which allows bugs and other creatures to enter the garage. The front door does not create a seal allowing light to come in on the bottom corner. The garage entry door is misaligned preventing the lock to engage. The ceiling in the master bathroom bows upward. The sill under the lanai sliders looks as if chunks of cement are missing. We were and continue to be shocked and disappointed that a company that was so highly rated could allow anyone to walk into a brand new home that looked as bad as this. ... More

The day of closing was to be a day of celebration in our new home. To show up for closing to find workers still working and painting. Everything was rushed for closing day and the quality of finish work was extremely poor. After three days of waiting for workers to finish fixing list of items no one would come or answer my calls to find out what going and why our place is not finished. Floor not cleaned, a lot of paint drops on floors from sloppy painting. Quality of painting very poor and sloppy and a lot of spots missed. Many areas on walls and trim work had damage that was just painted over and not fixed. Paid for up graded carpet and padding and the padding was not upgraded feels like walking on cement and very bumpy. We love the community and everything else. Its just your day of closing should be a day of celebration, and to be rushed to close and find many thing not finished and very poor quality finish work ruined our day of celebration. We still have 39 items not fixed ... More
