First time building a home and glad we did it with Highland. Jeff and Judy were easy to work with in the office and Bryan was and continues to be responsive with our home. The materials were excellent so far and workmanship was good, any issues I had were quickly addressed. Nothing is ever perfect and they will fix anything which is not up to standard. There are a few things I wish I could have added or changed, but those are minor compared to what I got. Dean was great to work with! You could tell he wanted to make the deal work because he recognized our family needs. Our realtor and Dean came together and the result is that we are in a great home. My only negative comment was (still is) the work was messy, meaning drips of paint, sheetrock mud in the cracks of the floors and mild scratches on things like the counters/windows. But again overall we are happy with the home and have no doubt that Highland will address our concerns without any pushback. Timing was great. There were several small items that were not complete at closing that we are still waiting on: peep hole, paint touch up, etc. While we appreciate the design center not up selling, there are a few things we would have gladly added: too coat of paint to the walls. We are quite disappointed in the quality of the paint/ texture. It is impossible to clean without scratching the paint or chipping the texture. We have never experienced this and feel it is a big miss from the designers. We would also have put a top coat on our floors if we had known the option was there. We have small dogs that escape the fence often. We are in the process of adding additional fencing to keep them in and safe. ... More

The whole experience was handled easily and professionally. The warranty issues have been minor and handled quickly once I submitted them online. Good company to business with and would recommend them to anyone looking to buy a new home.
