The sales team and construction were great and responsive.

Our home is spec home, anyway we had walked through a home similar to what had purchased. We had seen wrought iron spindles on the stairwell, we had asked if this was part of our home, saleswoman said yes, when we signed we were told that they were not included. We were also told being a spec we had the ability to change or upgrade as long as it was not already ordered. Come to find out we were not able to do so. Dont get me wrong I love our home. The sales office team is fantastic! Steve our construction manger was super easy to deal with and very easy to contact with questions and concerns along the way. Communication from the inhouse lender was a bit lackluster but once the process was rolling it was fairly smooth. ... More

We had a great experience with K. Hovnanian Homes. The best part of our experience was our construction manager. He was so thorough and kind, and he took significant time to make sure we were informed and connected to him throughout the process. The result was a home that was exactly as we dreamed it. The only part of the process that was a little challenging was understanding some of the final closing and loan costs up front. As first time home buyers, we had a lot of questions and it took us a little time to get in a rhythm with our K. Hovnanian mortgage broker and sales agent. Everything was great up until closing. My lawyer was struggling to get any paperwork from them and I had to call multiple people to find out where the closing was even going to be at.

Was an easy experience from choosing g the lot to model to options. To financing.

Inspect every corner, room, inside, outside, top, bottom. With that being said, my sales rep, contractor, lender, and everyone that I personally dealt with were nice, respectful, and attentive to my concerns. I am just not happy about the workmanship of their workers. ... More

Very satisfied with our new home

Could be very good, but getting punch list items taken care of has been slow. It seems if you do not constantly ask, nothing gets done. Outside quality seems better than inside. Lots of little flaws. Some in materials and some in workmanship.

The mortgage company was difficult to work with but the work was good and the house turned out great.

Overall experience was great... Jean, our sales rep was great, couldn't ask for a better person to help us with whats really a big time consuming and stressful process....Rich, Greg, from corporate, helped out with getting some things taken care of in the build process, so was our production manager Steve...and Ryan...as a contractor I know how difficult it is to mange a build, deal with subs and then deal with customers....Steve does a great job....We are happy with the quality of the home, probably the best built "new Construction you can get without going semi custom or custom built...My wife and I are happy in our new home.... P.S. The Experience with their mortgage company was why they didn't get 5 stars from me and I would probably need a much "bigger incentive" if I ever needed to go through them again...completely unprofessional, i felt i got my mortgage, at 711...sorry 711... ... The house is a great house. There are a few minor things that need to be looked at after a month in. The women in sales were great to work with. Financing was a nightmare. We had everything lined up with another financial group but got talked into using Khov for financing. That was a huge mistake. And to top it off they sold our loan to another company in the first two weeks. ... More

Smooth process, but quality of work could definitely be improved

Great staff from the sales office to the building crew. I would never finance through Khov ever again. Terrible experience with that side of the business! Submitted paperwork several times; always had to resubmit additional paperwork; staff doesn’t return calls or emails. Was a real pain to work through the financial portion of this transaction. Not worth it to use their financing-and our loan was sold to Chase Bank the day after we closed. ... More

basement was leaking on the second day after fixing i see water in the an other place in basement, nobody check the cut insulation was repaired with adhesive tape, not replaced, in the result and I have a house for which I paid the cake for a completely new one, but the insulation in the basement is glued with adhesive tape The floor creaks in some parts, this means that in some places the floor is normal, and in some it is not properly strengthened The stump has not been removed at the site with a height of 20 inches, and many others I will ask bloggers (with more than 1 million subscribers) describing the construction of the construction of houses to review.
