Easy and streamlined experience

KB has been great throughout the whole process. Even after moving in KB follows up to make sure there are no issues and if there is anything needed. Any issues or questions have been handled in a timely manner. Great experience!

If you had asked me if I were to be a KB home owner five years ago, I would have said you're joking. It seems KB Home has performed a complete 180, possibly by hiring new blood, but the upgrades and overall experience was as best as one would hope, especially being a new home buyer. Weekly updates by our agent Josh, was nothing short of impressive. To see our home progress week-by-week was quite the experience and added to our overall excitement in moving into our new home. Even though my wife and I visited the design studio 5-6 times, the staff (Allison) was absolutely the most patient and friendly person we'd run across in our entire KB Home experience. My wife was previously a home stager and designer from the bay area, so meeting her vision was something Allison had no issue assisting with. I was utterly impressed by the craftsmanship of the home in each of it's stages, especially when we did the initial walkthrough pre-drywall. It was impressive to see how fast the home was being built, with out issue. During the loan/underwriter phase, I was not feeling 100% with the communication between the lender and myself. It would have been better to be aware of all of the needed documentation at the beginning, rather near the end. As the process seemed extremely rushed and caused my wife and I to feel a bit stressed about ensuring we'd meet the escrow guidelines and title dates. The two lenders, Marcus and Scott were good, but the underwriting experience was pretty horrible, but didn't phase my overall 5-star rating, though please look into polishing up some of the processes leading to the underwriter phase. After move-in/construction complete, we did find a number of discrepancies, including some that weren't addressed such as the doors not fully closing due to the alignment of the knob and bolt. Rather than having someone come out, I decided to repair it myself. It seemed as though the speed in which the house was built did leave a little bit of quality out of play. Aside from the expected paint issues, there were a small number of issues that could have been prevented if the installer would have double checked their work. The KB representatives after move-in have been extremely helpful, even though I feel the issues should have been caught/repaired prior to move-in. I would recommend KB to anyone, especially due to the upgrade options. My wife and I spent about 80k worth in upgrades, which has helped us create our dream home (only wishing we had a 3-car garage option). ... More
