Love our house but Lennar could have done much better with quality control. Didn’t even have a garage door night before closing. Chased for months to close items documented prior to closing.

We did not have any real issues with the purchase of our lennar home. We did get to monitor the entire construction from vacant lot to a finished home. The workmanship is not very good and time over quality is their MO. We have had minor issues after moving in and Lennar took care of them ... More

I really like the house I bought from Lennar. Location is top notch. Finishing material is also very good. My experience with the sales team was also very good. Some finishing work is poor. Responsiveness is also poor. I have place a complain on a couple of electrical issues and never got anyone coming to fix them (or even to see what were my issues). Also my driveway, that was just done, is already showing holes on the concrete. Painting is bad. ... More

Had a great time buying the house and love the aesthetic. The quality of the materials and workmanship is clearly low cost. Lots of little defects around the house that are noticeable. Responsive and promptness from the Customer Care team has been abysmal. Very difficult to get things fixed after you've purchased. Very disappointed with that aspect. ... More

Please make sure you see your exact home before you purchase there was some confusion on the pitches versus what I received are what I thought I was gonna be receiving I had already signed my contract to build and then found I wasn't given everything that I seen on the picture so I had to pay an additional $1000 down and over 18000 more in upgrades to receive what I want other than this my home by an experience was great ... For the money you might expect better build quality. Switch plates that are not level, drawers that don't close right, stair rail supports that are not parallel, paint that is so thin you can see through it, concrete that is already cracked at move in, light fixtures not flush and falling out of the ceiling, support legs on the kitchen bar that wobble and don't support, windows that don't stay open, is that really a fireplace hearth, visible drywall joints, etc. Makes me wonder what's behind, or not behind the walls. They have been good to follow up, but it did take 2 months to get our second garage door opener. Again, nice house, good follow up, but quality and finish work is not worth the $ spent. Paint work is the weakest point. Wonder how long the exterior will look good. Lennar kept bugging me for a review...well, here it is. ... More

I gave the overall buying experience only 3 stars because the closing date was postponed several times. When the actual date arrived I was nervous about closing because there was still a long punch list of things that were not yet completed/corrected. But I'm glad we went through with the closing. The wonderful foreman and sales office make up for the sloppy workmanship. ... More

There is no standard pricing on townhomes here as the prices are costlier for first time buyers versus investment home. Costlier prices for normal home than the upgraded homes. So, there is no standard trusted builder pricing as the prices going along the tide. Faster completion of homes, but no proper nailing & who knows what's gone inside the drywall ! ... More

We love our home but the painting, caulking, grouting and finishing is done very poorly. You would expect more skilled workers to be part of a home that’s valued at over a half million dollars. We’ve been trying to get attention for it for a few months. Will hope for resolution once the COVID mania is over. The quality of fixtures (shower heads, lighting, fans) are more reflective of homes in the $400k range so Lennar has surely skimped on these things. That will be an additional project we’ll need to take on ourselves. The warranty team is great though; it’s just unfortunate how many things we’ve had to request corrections on in a short span of time. Happy to update my review once Lennar gets our concerns addressed. ... More

A lot of patch work around the house that we are just now noticing. Paint job was definitely subpar. Wood floors have so many chips in different corners. There is cement on my grass from when they did the back porch. Patch job around the ceiling fan outlet caps. Let’s just say there are a lot of signs that the home was made in a rush. Really annoying but improvements in terms of workmanship are needed ... More

Seems the subs are very questionable. I have seen 4 homes in addition to mine that had major plumbing problems, including flooding and having to replace flooring. The plumbing contractor must be a very cheap company because the quality is not there. I worry what will happen in 1-5 years based on the issues I have seen so far. Also, landscape work has been awful and they put down dead grass and don't bother to replace it. All they care about is covering the ground. Not how it looks or fills in. ... More

Our home buying experience had some ups (our sales rep, Denise, was great throughout & we got 2 unexpected upgrades) & many downs. The downs started when we were informed that features labeled on Lennar's documents as "optional" were not available or selections became unavailable during the selection process. We were also disappointed when the construction manager told us things the contractors would do (like screw down the nailed 2nd floor subfloor & sweep concrete before flooring was installed) that weren't done or not done adequately, causing squeaks & popping sounds under the finished flooring. Now that we're in our home, we're noticing that the finish work is most disappointing - painted over gouged drywall throughout the home, drywall compound on most of the outlet/wall plates (due to not taking the plates off before applying the compound & not cleaning them afterwards), missing grout around outlets on the kitchen backslash leaving visible gaps, uneven & discolored tile grout in the bathrooms, sloppy trim/moulding seams that are separating & peeling, holes in the carpet padding, & other issues. In addition to all the needed repairs, we've been asking for our 3 missing window screens for 3 months & keep being told that they're coming, but still no screens. There are also several inconsistencies in the same floor plans in the neighborhood - some have Wi-Fi garage door openers, different gutter downspout placement & breaker box placement, different house numbers, & only some have granite in the shower. Finally, the neighborhood amenities haven't started being built despite the first phase of the neighborhood being 95% built & there's no information about when they will start building. What started as an exciting & fun process turned into a frustrating & disappointing situation. There's been some turnover with Lennar's construction/warranty staff & it's taken about 2 months to finally get some of the needed repairs started. We're glad that Lennar's warranty exists to make the repairs, but it's tedious & disruptive to have different people in & out of our home over the past month with more repairs needed - all during a pandemic. At this point, I would not recommend a new Lennar home to anyone. ... More

Our buying experience was not the best as we had to travel over an hour twice just to our in our offer. This practice is very inconvenient if you do not live close and almost deterred our interest in the home. If it was not for the excellent sales agent who kept us abreast and was very responsive to our concerns and frustration, we would have looked elsewhere. The warranty offered is questionable too. Just make sure everything is up to par quality-wise before signing on the dotted line. Otherwise, be prepared for the warranty denials once you are in the house. We are highly doubtful about recommending others at this point. ... More
