I love my new home, I had a water leak the next week, it was fixed but the Sod has not been replaced in 6 weeks/ looks horrible, I have one set of jingles in my bathroom needs replacing the wrong color. So all I have to say is stay on the builder or replace yourself. ... More

The responsiveness, in some aspects, was difficult. For the amount of money you’re paying, you shouldn’t feel like you have to ask the same questions and keep following up to get answers.

There is no question that in today's market is quite impossible to receive a value comparable to the amount of money you pay for a home. Houses are built in a hurry and many times builders cut corners to maximize profit. My happy with the house but in less than a month living there I already spotted many quality of workmanship & materials issues that really makes you think is the house really worth what we paid for it. ... Overall, we are pleased with our new home from Pulte Homes. We had communication issues with our project manager during the build process. The house wasn’t cleaned to our expectation prior to closing. There were several items on our punch list that weren’t fixed prior to closing - our project manager stopped communicating about a month after closing, so we submitted service requests via Pulte’s website. Jason has been overseeing those service requests, and he’s been great. He called me immediately, came out a few days later to walk the house and look at the items which needed to be fixed, and scheduled the contractors shortly afterwards. Overall, we love our house minus the few opportunities listed above. ... More

The overall build process was good, but we were severely rushed through the close process. We were asked to sign off on items that weren’t fixed in order to not delay our close. We were promised multiple times that the remaining items would be fixed immediately. But we’re over a month post close and most of these items remain open. Multiple times we’re been told they were coming by to fix then nobody shows up. ... More

We are happy with the house. However, the closing was delayed, which impacted our moving schedule, due to items identified in the initial walkthrough not being addressed on time. Pulte wouldn’t agree to customize anything, even when we just asked to not install items. As an example, the bar soap in the shower is the cheapest one you could find (in a $390k house) and they wouldn’t agree to not put it up. The communication was a struggle at times between agent-realtor-builder. For example, our first walkthrough was delayed by 2 hours due to lack of communication between Pulte agent and realtor. Lastly, we ended up with a nice house and the builder did address all the pending items before closing. He has even come out to address a minor issue after closing. ... More

We recently built a house with Pulte. I cannot say we got the value we paid for our home. All of the trim work was in really rough shape. We had to hire an external painter to come in and fix a lot of the trim, mudding, and painting. It is still not fixed correctly, because it was just too much to get done and would have cost a fortune (since we did not want to have all of the trim ripped out and redone.) I feel like this is not something I should have had to pay for considering my house almost cost half of a million dollars. The whole building process was very rushed and you can see that in our home. We have spots where grout is missing in the bathrooms, we were not able to get the fixtures we wanted due to back order, some of the hardwood is not glued properly, banisters not sealed correctly, brick has not been pressure washed, sloppy brick laying outside, the sidewalks have gouges in them and look rushed. There were many options that we could have had with this home, but was not offered to us. Example-sprinkler system, unaware Kitchen Aid appliances also had a confection oven capability. The closing process took us over three hours since we were not allowed to leave until the money from our lender cleared with Pulte. I feel like it was that way due to us using an outside lender and not Pulte. Overall the house was built quickly and we are glad to have a home, but it does show it was rushed. Our sales person was okay to deal with, the upgrade center girl was helpful, and our building foreman was nice. ... More

Field managers tell you what you want to hear but do not follow through with service requests. Multiple items that should have been taken care of before closing were not and still are not 3 months later. COVID has caused some understandable delays but the company is not up front with communication and realistic time frames. Also no one is managing the many companies involved during the move in period and the homeowner is left to fend for themselves, to keep on top of contractors to complete a task. ... More

Overall the experience was not as good as it should have been. It was very hard to get responses from the customer service representatives for the neighborhood and they were not ready for us to move in come the closing date. Throughout the build, we would get a weekly or bi-weekly update via phone to discuss progress but were never provided pictures when we weren't even in the same state for much time during the building process. The overall attention to detail was not great when it was time for us to move in. Even though we had asked for things to be fixed during our final inspection a week before closing, which also wasn't even close to being ready for inspection (they were still painting, fixing problems, and cleaning when we showed up), not everything was fixed properly. Instead of pushing out the closing date and needing to reschedule the moving company and all of the plans that were set in stone for months because we thought 6 months was enough time to do everything properly, we decided to get in the house and fix things ourselves. You would think contractors who build multiple homes at the same time non-stop would see there mistakes and do a almost perfect job every time but that is not even close to the truth. It is disappointing to find new problems or details after spending so much money on what is supposed to be a brand new home. Many of the things they did turned out nice, but the small things have put a sour taste in our mouths. ... More

Neighbors are great! I am sad to say I am still waiting to be able to use my shower in the master bath. My builder was sent to another area in the process of finishing the issues with my home. He tried but couldn't get contractors out to finish the jobs. You for sure need to keep an eye on the work that's done inside. Like painting inside and out, floors and the doors. Don't take anyone's word it will be taken care of. Don't sign off on anything until it's done! ... More
