Don’t ask for same documents several time by the mortgage people.

Pulte has a great team at every division. It is one stop shop for home buyers. They took care of mortgage and insurance as well. It would be nice if the houses/rooms are sound proof. Even a small noise in the living room or any other room can be heard the entire house. I do love my new home! The design, features and options are exceptional! I believe there could be improvement in the final stages of completion before closing. The house had paint paint drips on the floor tile throughout the house, the washer was not fully installed causing a flood during the first load and the house was not properly cleaned prior to move in. A Pulte punch-out team would be ideal to to take care of these concerns prior to move in. The warranty manager has efficiently addressed most of the concerns identified after moving in. ... More

Pulte builds a decent home but the pricing of the homes are getting out of hand. The actual development is beautiful and that's what sold us on building in this neighborhood.

Pulte builds a house with high quality finishings but what is behind those finishings leaves something to be desired. We have lived in our home for 2 months and we already have some visible water leaking issues. I am worried that we will find years down the road water issues that are invisible until it is too late. Also, while nail pops are a normal issue for a new home, I have never experienced them to this level before. It is almost to the point where we will have to re-paint whole rooms when they are repaired. My last big complaint is a general lack of attention to detail. I’m glad to be in my home but now that I’m in it I’m finding a lot of issues with detail. Things that I feel other builders would have taken to time make sure it was completed to satisfaction. It just looks like they hurry through the completion to make sure it’s done instead of taking the time to do it. It’s like quantity over quality. Overall the house buying experience was good. We had several issues that came up and I feel Pulte did a poor job of mitigating them. Also the quality seems to be all over the board. For example we have nice bathroom fans that turn on when they sense moisture, yet our wall paint is so cheap it is flat white and stains by just looking at it. The materials were fine in terms of value for money, but the workmanship was not. There are visible sheetrock joints and bumps in some places on the walls. There is a rather steep gradient in the flooring, which may be by design, but there are minor yet noticeable ups and downs in the flooring as you walk on it. I am pleased with the house I had built. Pulte gave a lot of great incentives to use them as a builder. I was overall happy with the process, but there was a lack of communication during the middle of the building process. I feel like they rushed to get my house built by a certain pre-determined date. The final touches were not done as well as I had expected. There were too many houses being built at the same time in my community and towards the end I don't think the builder had enough time to really focus on the finishing touches.
